Rev. Christopher J. Crotty C.P.M. was born in 1967 in San Francisco, CA. As a missionary priest with the Fathers of Mercy, he is dynamic, funny and filled with the Holy Spirit. He is the Founder of the Fathers of Mercy healing ministry and Co-Founder and Director of The Institute of the Holy Spirit
Fr. Crotty has been in the ditches of hell. He has survived family alcoholism. When he was 10 months old, he lost his 2 year old brother / best friend to pneumonia. By the age of 12 he experienced the death of 12 family members. He wondered “am I next?” He was broken and needed Jesus to heal him. That is when Christ began Fr. Crotty’s journey toward healing.
He began serving in the U.S. Navy in 1986. Serving with distinction in the medical corps, he eventually attended the anesthesia technologist program and served as an anesthesia technologist for four years. Having completed military service, Fr. Crotty went on to work as a civilian anesthesia technologist at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose CA.
In 1995 Fr. Crotty joined the Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy. He began studies in philosophy and in theology in 1996 at Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell, CT. On May 31st, 2001 Fr. Crotty was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Michael Sheridan in Russellville, KY. Following ordination Fr. Crotty served as the associate pastor at St. Martin of Tours in downtown Louisville KY.
For the past several years Fr. Crotty has promulgated the rich teachings on the Holy Spirit and healing on missions and conferences. He teaches nationwide on radio and other media resources. Prison work has been an outreach for some years as well. Fr. Crotty is a member and supports the work of “The Association of Christian Therapists.” His work has also supported The Serra Club, Magnificat (women’s prayer groups), The Knights of Columbus, The Ancient Order of Hibernians, and The National Association of Private Catholic Institutes and Schools.
Fr. Crotty is a priest who seeks to know the true heart of Jesus. Reaching out to the prostitute, the person in the satanic rock band, and the alcoholic, he has a message from Christ that He loves you in the midst of your brokenness and sin! He is a priest for God to transform souls. His message: true healing comes from love and brokenness comes from a lack of love.
